June 2015

This was a busy month at the Playscape, with our Discovery Days for Seniors (June 8) and the Special Needs Community (June 14), as well as our Solstice Celebration on June 20.  We also installed two benches in early June, just in time for these events!
New Benches!
Two benches were installed at the Playscape the first week of June. The wood for the benches is Southern Live Oak that was used for shipbuilding materials in the 19th century before being deposited in Boston Harbor. The wood rested in the Harbor for over 100 years, resulting in it being nearly petrified with a very long projected lifespan.
