Naming Opportunities

There are several naming opportunities for donors to the Playscape at Ripley. Naming opportunities will be recognized with a plaque on the Playscape site. The indicated dollar amounts represent commemorative values, not actual construction or renovation costs, and all donation amounts are tax-deductible. You may also view a map of the Playscape showing the location of each naming opportunity.

Phase I Naming Opportunities
Woodland Path: $50,000. The Woodland Path graciously guides the visitor from a world of parking lots and vehicles into the creative woodland setting of the Playscape. It carefully tip-toes between the trees, along the old stone wall, and through masses of native plants, leading toward the Gathering Circle and historic cart path that leads to Gowing's Swamp.
Gathering Circle: $25,000. The Gathering Circle provides a unique, hands-on learning environment adjacent to the Woodland Path. It is an outdoor spot to convene, play, and explore the rare and robust ecological systems present on the site and in the Concord region.

Phase II Naming Opportunities
Ripley Riverbed: $25,000. Comprising a dry riverbed and a bridge, this is a favorite feature of the Playscape for the young and the young at heart. A water play element will be added in Phase III, inviting the developmental play that only sand and water can provide.
Willow Tunnel: $10,000. What could be more exciting than a castle? One that is living of course! Built of living willow branches that will change with the seasons and built over the Meadow Trail, the Willow Tunnel invites all who enter to stop and survey the Playscape Kingdom from within.
Sand Ship: $10,000. There are many sandboxes around, but the Playscape has a sand ship! With its raised walls that allow for both seating and imaginary play, the sand ship is ready to set sail for hours of fun.  All aboard!
